This is the last week that assignments will be posted on here. School wide we are transitioning to google classroom so we can track what the students are doing. We will have required and extended (not required) assignments posted on there. There will be 3 required assignments each week (one from each kindergarten teacher) and lots of extended activities to do if your child is bored or if you just want more ideas! The required assignments will need to be completed within a week of them being posted. This will begin on Monday April 20th! More information will come about how to login and get on the google classroom.
it is not starting until April 20th because........
We will observe spring break from Friday (4/10) until Sunday (4/19)! PLEASE do not do any school work during this break. It's time for all of us to observe the Easter season and connect with family.
I ask that you try logging into your child gmail account. The email is 2032 then the first 2 letters of their first name, then the first 2 letters of their last name, followed by @ncsmail.org
for example: mine would be [email protected]
ALL passwords are set to Jan11234?
you will be prompted to change the password upon logging in!
God Bless,
Miss Smith

WEEK 3 RESOURCES
*again...not required, only encouraged*
Math Resource:
https://www.mathgames.com/kindergarten
This resource has games that practice kindergarten standards. Do as many as you wish :)
Reading Resource:
Make a matching game with your sight words! Write each word twice on cards and keep flipping (and reading) until they are all matched! (I, can, the, we, see, a, like, to, and, go, you, do, my, are, he, with, is, little, she, was, for, have, they, of, said, want, here, me, this, what, help, too, play, has, where, look)
Make this ACTIVE by doing an exercise each time you make a match (ex. jump 3 times, 3 jumping jacks etc.)
Science/Social Studies Resource:
Practice drawing the seasons! Add lots of details about what happens in each season. Maybe take a walk and see what is going on with the weather right now! Below is a seasons video.

Week 3 Atrium Challenge: Join Jesus at the Last Supper
We challenge you to put yourself into the Last Supper. You could build the Last Supper out of legos or blocks, you could sculpt it from play-doh or clay, you could recreate the scene using your stuffed animals, dolls, or action figures, you could draw a picture, or you could even act it out with your family one night at dinner. We would love to see what you came up with!

Mrs. Rizzo and Mrs. Penwell have come up with Atrium Challenges to do at home! Here is the first one...
Atrium Challenge #1: Be a Master Builder with Jesus
We challenge you to get out your legos (or other blocks) and build Jesus' tomb. You could even put a character to represent Jesus in the tomb and then open the tomb up on Easter morning and have it be empty (you might even have Angel Michael standing on the tomb after he rolled back the stone). Good luck! We would love to see pics: you can email them to [email protected] and [email protected]
